AD Planning Dept, ZonesCorp seal e-linkage MoU

The Department of Planning & Economy -Abu Dhabi- and the Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) announced today they had signed an agreement to electronically link the process of issuing of industrial licenses.                       

The electronic linkage will be for the issuance of industrial licenses for investors who would like to invest in ZonesCorp special zones - Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD1, ICAD11, and ICAD111).                      

The agreement was signed by the Undersecretary of the Department Mohammad Omar Abdullah, and Engineer Jaber Hareb al Khaili, CEO of ZonesCorp.

Commenting on this agreement, Mr. Mohammad Omar said the Department of Planning & Economy is planning to sign a number of agreements with ZonesCorp so as to boost the common objectives of both the two sides as ZonesCorp is aiming to promote investments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.                    

Mr. Omar added According to this agreement; industrial licenses will be issued by ZonesCorp.

From his side, Engineer Jaber Al Khaili said this agreement will provide a unified window for the issuance of industrial licenses and all other related activities. It will also help us to unify all industrial data and archive them electronically in order to have a unified data base .

This agreement is the latest in a series of agreements signed by ZonesCorp with a number of governmental and private departments in order to develop its operations and services. Previous agreements were signed with Etisalat, Microsoft International and Ministry of Finance & Industry. All those agreements aimed to use the latest information technologies to update and develop the services offered by ZonesCorp to all its investors.
