The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp), along with Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) and other government organizations in the Emirate such as Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Western Region Development Council, Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR), Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, and Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, participated in Hannover Messe 2010, the world's leading exhibition for industrial technology, which took place in Germany on April 19-23.
The event provided ZonesCorp an opportunity to globally promote its services and key role in diversifying economy and positioning Abu Dhabi as an ideal destination for industrial investments.
Hannover Messe 2010, which brought together hundreds of top international companies to showcase their latest innovations and new technological developments from the world of industry, enabled ZonesCorp to underline its role in developing and managing fully integrated economic zones through commissioning an industrial development strategy to identify competitive clusters.
The main objective behind ZonesCorp's participation in this international event was to contribute in highlighting Abu Dhabi as a leading and integrated destination for industrial investments due to the available world-class infrastructure, facilitated licensing and flexible legislations, as well as the support provided to investors by the government of Abu Dhabi. ZonesCorp have also adopted the latest industrial know-how and best practices to support Abu Dhabi's transition into a knowledge-based economy.
Hannover Messe 2010 provided a suitable platform to the participants to increase the potential investors' awareness of the opportunities identified in Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. The event also helped ZonesCorp promote its strategy in the diversification of economy which Abu Dhabi emirate seeks to achieve through its Economic Vision 2030.
