The delegate includes CEOs of over 60 top industrial companies from South Korea 

The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) in Abu Dhabi received yesterday a high-profile business delegation from South Korea that included CEOs and representatives of over 60 top Korean companies from different economic sectors. The Korean businessmen's visit was aimed at learning about the significant role played by ZonesCorp in developing, and managing zones of special economic nature and the services provided to investors of the industrial sector in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was attended by senior representatives from ZonesCorp, in addition to some investors at ZonesCorp ZonesCorp welcomed the Korean delegate hailing the economic development the emirate is witnessing and the support the business community in Abu Dhabi is receiving in line with government's vision of enhancing continuous cooperation with the emirate's strategic partners and developing economic ties with countries all over the world.

A presentation to the delegation on ZonesCorp illustrated the vision, mission, objectives and projects of the corporation as well as the value added services it provides to investors. ZonesCorp is responsible for the establishment, management and operation of specialized economic zones in Abu Dhabi. It is also committed to developing the industrial infrastructure in the capital's economic zones, adopting models of best global practices, cultivating a business climate conducive to growth and driving the diversification of the economy, and enhancing the local industry.

The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) targets key growth areas where it can achieve sustainable competitive positions, leveraging on its expertise in establishing zones of special economic nature; the economic, financial and political strengths of Abu Dhabi; and by providing the suitable climate for investor with its  Investors Management Department and 'Foreign Labor' services.

The parties also discussed the current and future projects of ZonesCorp which include 5 industrial cities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, in addition to a construction and building materials production city and other quality workers' accommodation cities.

The delegation, stressed their government's interest in enhancing the economic relations between South Korea and the UAE, and Abu Dhabi in particular, due to the remarkable economic development the emirate is witnessing and the world-class infrastructure it enjoys and the economic policies it adopts that help in attracting more foreign investments, especially that the total value of South Korean investments in the emirate was Dh24 billion and The figure is expected to reach approximately Dh30bn in the near future.

The leading role played by ZonesCorp in supporting the industrial sector in Abu Dhabi has urged a large number of top Korean industrial entities to visit the corporation and learn more about the services and motivating aspects provided to investors, and to seriously consider establishing a number of industrial projects in ZonesCorp.
