Mohammad bin Zayed instructed to construct 5 residential cities to accommodate more than 300 thousand laborers

Based on the instructions of HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and according to the plans of Zonescorp, works have started to construct residential cities to accommodate 300-400 thousand laborers working in the field of construction and  development projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has.

Those cities and complexes are to be constructed in Al Mafraq Area. First phase will be ready this year, and last phase will be completed in 2008.

In this respect, HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, Chairman of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Chairman of Zonescorp declared that zonescorp has granted 8 contracts to developers  to construct residential cites to accommodate 200 thousand workers with investments value nearing AED 2.5 billion.

According to instructions of HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed, the first phase of these cities will be allocated to accommodate 100 thousand workers. 70 thousand of them are workers who are currently living in the old residential complex in the City of Mohammad bin Zayed.

Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed made it clear that instructions of HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed to build 5 residential cities for workers -3 in Abu Dhabi, 2 in Al Ain- reflect the keenness of our wise leadership to provide social security to workers and laborers. Those cities and residential complexes will be constructed according to international standards and international laws.

Engineer Jaber Hareb Al Khaili, CEO of Zonescorp explained that all safety and security measures will be available in those cities. He assured that Zonescorp looks at these residential projects as “non-profit services”. Accordingly, rent value for investors and entrepreneurs from private sector will be very reasonable as that will help them to be more productive.
