ZonesCorp holds second session of the “Excellence Forum”

ZonesCorp held the second meeting of its “Excellence Forum” initiative, which was hosted by Dr. Omniyat Al Hajri, Director of Public Health and Research Department at HAAD, and Dr. Sheikha Al Dhahri, Executive Director of the Terrestrial and Marine Biodiversity Sector. ZonesCorp launched the Excellence Forum, an initiative in coordination with the Office of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance. The initiative will see ZonesCorp host the winners of the prestigious Abu Dhabi Awards for Excellence in Government Performance and share their professional experiences first hand with fellow government employees.


HE Saeed Eisa Al Khyeli, Director General of ZonesCorp commented: “Abu Dhabi Government has made every effort to develop the creative skills of all its employees to promote sustainable development and transform Abu Dhabi into a centre of excellence around the world. The Abu Dhabi Executive Council has succeeded in integrating a culture of excellence across all Government departments and institutions in the Emirate.”

Al Khyeli added: “The Excellence Forum, recently launched by ZonesCorp is the first initiative of its kind aimed at facilitating direct communication between the previous winners of the award and the employees participating in this year’s award ceremony. For ZonesCorp, this is an important step in evaluating past and present work and helping to create an internal work environment that contributes to the establishment of a culture of excellence across all levels of the organisation. In addition we believe that it will help to increase levels of productivity and allow us to serve our investors in new and innovative ways”.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Omniyat Al Hajri said: “The forum is a valuable learning opportunity for employees in how to create culture of excellence across all governmental sectors in Abu Dhabi. The forum provides a unique platform for discussion between the winners of the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award and other employees who wish to participate in this year’s award.”

Dr. Al Hajri praised the efforts by ZonesCorp to boost excellence and innovation amongst employees throughout the government sector, by providing this unique platform. Furthermore she also praised the role played by ZonesCorp in its efforts to create a sustainable economic diversification in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Shaikha Al Dhaheri added: “The Excellence Forum also provides a key platform for knowledge transfer across all governmental institutions for employees at all levels, from the junior employees to the senior decision-making staff. This is also in-line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 which seeks to create a sustainable knowledge based economy.”

Al Dhaheri also added: “By organising this forum ZonesCorp is playing an important role in promoting a culture of excellence throughout the entire community.

The Excellence Forum initiative will be held once a month for the duration of the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award in Government Performance. The initiative will see ZonesCorp employees and other government entities as well as coordinators of the award participating in the forum. The forum aims to motivate employees to participate in the award, improve their performance through live discussions, promote activate cooperation and constructive partnership between various government agencies and to raise the level of performance of employees through the exchange of practical experience throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
